Many reasons why it would be terrible. They also either have no idea about railways or they are terrible at proofreading as 200m radius curves aren't gentle.I only picked 200m radius as that would be the smallest that it would negotiate the bend and would not need any bogies but yes, the straighter the better.
I guess 'Wide' was the next way to go as they have tried 'Long', 6,8,10 cars, then 'High' (Double Deckers) leaving 'Wide' to be tried out..........
I doubt there is a Metro Railway in the World that doesnt have over crowding and delays during the morning and evening peak periods.
