The developer has identified the issues with the railcams which relate to flickr and the api use. The plan is to fix all the operating system tuning first and then begin to fix code. believe me work is underway. there is a lot to do.
We also had to build a new software repo and big tracking system for the project. This has been completed. So new code changes are being logged into a secure system and mobile code will also use the same system.
We are getting there.

Once I log in, I dont wait for it to tell me I have but I go to Correspondence immediately and click on Forums, that works most times for me.
If I dont do that, it just sits there until I have forgotten what I was trying to do.

For the past few weeks/months or so I have been experiencing an issue where if I try to access the site from Chrome about 95% of the time it says Railpage is unavailable but when I use the much less prefered option of using Microsoft Edge most times the site generaly works. Is this a common problem people are having or is it just me?

I seem to get "not available" message all the time out of desk jockey hours, like 03:00 when the real rail worker world is in full operation, not in bed. Anyone else see the connection?

Was RP down for a few hours about 12 hours back? I wasn't even getting to the Outage page -was getting "Page not found" so gave up and a couple of hors later it was OK.

I got in today by asking on another site to check it it was working and of 3 replies, one said No and 2 said YES, one posting me a link which I used to enter.
Part of my problem could be something to do with the history or what ever does that, saves the refusal and then just refers to it each time I try to access the site.

Seems to get me straight in most times.

Guys I and the rest of the team are well aware of the issues and we are nearly there. We have @pdrain working on the issues and correcting a lot of server configuration and code issues. This has reduced page load times considerably however we still have some rogue code in the system which is preventing the front page and the railcam page from loading due to this load issue.
The load is no longer high and we are trying to find the code which is causing the issue.

The first time I have been able to log in for a few weeks. Good to find out what the issues are, perhaps these should be described in the outage message rather than the standard "high server load". It would be far better and less frustrating than the pithy, many may say childish themes. It would also be good to be told when the problem/s is/are expected to be fixed.

All problems have not yet been addressed as the code needs work. Working to stablise the platform and will not stop until all bugs have been removed. We are still to do the Photo Comp and the Railcams and the downloads section but struggling with the front page issues. We are getting there.

I've used the 'donate' link as TL222 has mentioned. I've also found going to the old .org site (which opens every time) then typing in .com in its place then click the go arrow also gets me in.
