It appears that MRL have indeed shut down their rail operations.

This would seem to have occurred about a week ago.

Does anybody know when the last train ran?

Where are the locomotives and wagons stored?

Peter,

The final loaded ore ran to Kwinana on 2 May.

This set, with MRL005 & 003, remains at Forrestfield.  The other two sets are at Mt Walton.

There have been rumours about some more ore to move, and possible other happenings in the Yilgarn area, but nothing concrete yet.
