The ARHS runs two tours on the first weekend of the Carnival of Flowers. These were taken while chasing the Saturday tour to Toowoomba and the Sunday tour on its return journey to Brisbane.

Thanks for this Peter. The heaviest working I have seen, and heard, was one of the BB18.25s hauling 9 heritage, a gin and a dead 1620 between Helidon and Murphys Creek. Fortunately that year my photo spot was on the grades between the bridge and the more level track into MC. It sounded great.

Arhs were fortunate to have permision for the steamers to operate, given all the fire bans. I'm reliably told that sdsr will be forced to use diesel power for their run to Toowoomba.

Great shots Graham! I'm guessing it's a lot drier up here than below the range, allowing the steam locomotive to be used from Brisbane to Toowoomba and back.
