Can't access the "Adelaide City East Tram extension Progress" thread at all, get the outage message, yet can access and view other threads in the Tram & Light Rail forum.
Been like that since sunday (at least)

The problem has been identified and now purely a matter of fixing it.  The PHP version in production is less than version 7 and cannot handle foreign language characters.  Some have snuck into the database and @pdrain is working to remove these and make code changes to ensure this does not happen again.

On the dev box the php version is 7 which does support more than latin.

Sorry guys.  Concurrent connections to the servers were peaking at 8000 before this issue.

Most recently with the software changes fixing many of the blocking issues with the code, the actual number of connections has peaked at 8,000, this is correct.  There are a lot of people accessing the site.

Then the details quoted at the foot of the Forums page appear somewhat out then as they currently say 20 Registered Users + 270 Guests for a total of 290, and state that the highest ever was 360 on 23/06/2011. I can't paste the detail here as it reduces the font to something less than can be seen with a magnifying glass.

It all seems AOK to me - thanks for getting it all back together.

I haven't been able to log on with my Samsung S7 all week, keep getting "Railpage is unavailable" outage page. All other devices are fine.

EDIT Nec Minute - ran the device optimiser on the S7 and suddenly everything is good again. Go figure.

The 360 has not worked for years.  More broken code.  The site as peaked at over 8,000 IP connections to the webserver with nearly 500 online users.  I am getting this directly from the system logs.
