at the risk of raising the dead over here (last post 2010)  I'm asking if these are the right freight timetables for North-east, or "Goulburn Valley" as VLP is calling it.

Goulburn Valley Up Freight

Goulburn Valley Down Freight

Are these current or is there something more recent?

VLP for once is quite correct in terming the Freight WTT as Goulburn Valley as Victoria does NOT run any freight services on the North east SG line, which are all on ARTC tracks .

So on Victorian controlled track which VLP maintains is bg -  Warrnambool,  two bg branches North of Dunolly, Swan Hill, Deniliquin, Goulburn Valley, Latrobe Valley  plus  sg  Yelta - Mildura - Maryborough - Ararat .  Dual gauge Maryborough - Dunolly

Ta very muchly.

Called in at Tocumwal (the same day) and found the yard empty - I mean, empty of containers ...

mindboggling in a way, in that there is very little work coming down from the dust bowl of the west and places north and west.

A fellow was washing his rig in the yard; asked him when the next freight train was due - he shared "27/28" ... so for what its worth, that's the next (possibly last for 2018) in Tocumwal.

A few piccys of Toccy yard:

stationary tractors, no containers to load...

empty yard spells no trains (yet)
