Its almost a year since my last Safari, so I had a another look at the line on Monday.

In Ararat, nothing much has happened on the Maroona Loop / Triangle area, though the basic earthwork for the path has been cleared. The diamond crossing is still sitting there while the decision makers wring hands. I also had a look at the Vincent Street Bridge.
The section between Grano Street and the Yard is still mostly on Timber Sleepers, though there is some Concrete mixed in.
At Hopkins River Road, I noticed a well secured Generator humming away beside the Level Crossing - it would seem that power isn't available there yet.
Work was going on at a Level Crossing west of Ben Nevis and Stop signs were in place on the track from the level Crossing either side.
Some unprotected level Crossings seem to have been designed for the eventual installation of Flashing lights, Bells and perhaps even booms - the pads are in place with cables poking out.
A Block Point has been established just east of Elmhurst at Wiltshire Lane.
Bung Bong siding has been removed, though it looks like Ballast may have been loaded there during the work judging by whats left on the ground.
There are now two signals on the approach to Maryborough, one at the Pyrenees Highway and another just before Derby Road. The old signal just before the Junction has been removed.
There is no connection at the south end of Maryborough to the yard, and the move of the SG rail just prior to the platform has been moved south of the Inkerman Street Crossing.
Just as I was leaving Maryborough for Donald yesterday I passed a PN Grain Train headed by 4 locos, so backtracked to get some photos.
I will include the rest of Maryborough in a separate post in the MB thread that covers the line as far as Donald.
