Botany Duplication and Cabramatta Loop

Cost about $400m.

Four major road bridges required.

The length of the new crossing loop at Cabramatta is said to be 1400m, a bit strange considering that the standard length of freight trains in 1500m.

The single line section from Cooks River to Botany is 2.9km long, and costs $300m to duplicate.

The Cabramatta loop is probably not at the station, but is north or south of that station.

I'm not sure why the ARTC are bothering with the cabramatta passing loop. The better option would be to extend the leightonfield loop west instead which could provide a much longer loop then 1400 metres.
