Thanks.  Never been to Burcher but shot is characteristic of western wheat belt of southern NSW.

Try this one:

Nearly 48 hours and no bites so time for a clue.

Narrow gauge.  Line closed in 1960's.

Interesting shot. Really interesting. I'll try Mt Perry?
  5915 Chief Commissioner

Not the Perry.  A little more built up in this area.

West Ipswich - towards Churchill?
  5915 Chief Commissioner

Not West Ipswich but closer than to Mt Perry.

Another clue is in order.  A little unconventional in these forums but location is near longitude 151.97 E.  Google Earth is your friend.

Well, change the option menu in Google Earth from UTM and see where it is and then change back to UTM. If you don't know how to change UTM, than 151.97E is just west of Allora on the Darling Downs and west of Cabarlah on the Crows Nest line and west of Nanango. I couldn't be bothered debating the merits of various location formats such as 151.97 E / UTM etc as I find people use the one that suits them. My main hobby is air navigation so I use the standard aviation and maritime format.

Given that generous clue, lets try Cabarlah.
  5915 Chief Commissioner

Mike - it is Cabarlah though it may just fall into Kleinton.  I had been driving along the road parallel to the road from which this shot was taken for 20 years but only really noticed the formation in the last 12 months.  Well preserved bridge remains for a line that was last active in the early 1960s.

Over to you Mikesyd.

Yes it seemed to be West of Cabarlah and could have been a couple of locations when looking from far above.

My cupboard is thinning out but still have a few. Where is this one?

And no, its not "Guilty Conscience" either.

Fearing EXIF might have GPS details - looked - nope, seems that Flickr doesn't upload them.

Katamatite itself looks like that.
I cant remember the rails but that detail is easily overlooked.

Rodo
Not Katamatite. The nearest Level Crossing is about 1km south and on a gravel road.

I did try to go into Katamatite a couple of years back, as there is not only a Silo there, but presumably a turntable pit as well, but it seems to be privately owned these days.

Many of these silos have been abandoned too - a dead giveaway is the growth around the delivery area, weighbridge out of use or under soil and the lack of power lines - power was of course needed to run the elevator machinery.

This one was not a terminus - the trees at the rear have grown since the line was closed.

Yabba North, then.

Yabba North, then.
Rodo
Yes, Yabba North it is. There seems to have been some tree felling as the last time I looked there a few years ago the Silo could barely be seen from the Level Crossing. I did have Youanmite in this quiz some years back too.

Was that your guess too RustyRick?

Staff to Rodo.

By the way, the almost parallel (about 20km east) Oaklands line now has 4 Silo Art sites (Goorambat, Devenish and Tungamah now joined with the recent painting of St James - GJ Coles is the subject there). Telford is the only one left, and doubtful to be done as its a bit far from the road.

mikesyd can post more if he wants or pass it on to others.

Telford silo no longer has a rail siding and may not be used at all.
