    Serious question: PN have had these locos in storage for a long time. What triggered the decision to scrap them all at once?

    I don't know which two Xs but they'll turn up in the MFT for scrapping soon.

    Yes, H1 very recently donated it's broad gauge bogies to a T class and is now on standard gauge.

    I'm tipping that third party operators being kicked out of the South Dynon storage roads was part of the decision making process.

    T400, X43 and X44 were transferred to MFT today, so it would appear the T is next for the chop after the two Xs.

    So this is my attempt at compiling a list of the locomotives to get the chop in the past few months, and a prediction of what is likely to get the chop in the weeks or months to come:

    Scrapped so far:
    A class
    A71, A73, A77 , A79, A81, A85
    X class
    X39, X41, X42

    Still to be scrapped?:
    A class
    A78
    X class
    X43, X49
    T class
    T400
    H class
    H4

    S307 maybe, but I thought S301 was tucked away safely in Newport away from such things. Or maybe that was just wishful thinking on my part.
