Is that CFCLA's three C-class that are listed as sold?
Do you mean these?

Whilst similar, I don't think they are C class.

???  That's definitely a C class

Responding the previous post, the link relates to the 6 (non CFCLA) C class that were sold to SSR back in 2016. Just because it's on the internet does not mean it is true or current.

Thanks for those replies. I think we're all wrong. They are C-class (so that's you gonged, Graham). But in between comparing traction motors and generators etc to see if they were C-class, I didn't notice that the link says "Quantity Offered: 9". So they can't be the three locos currently with CFCLA (there's me stuffed) and they can't be the six Cs sold to SSR in 2016 (so you're done and dusted, too, Bingley)! The last time nine Cs were for sale would have been after Allco Finance collapsed. So yeah, assuming they're C-class, that entry must be about ten years old (?).

While I'm here, does anyone know if X54 found a buyer? I believe she was put up for sale a few months ago.

I have no doubt that you are correct. I simply compared the photo with a photo of a C class on here and found a few minor differences, so was a bit unsure.

I noticed that the VL class are on sale. They are only 12 years old which is unusual. I wonder if there are any other reasons why CFCLA are trying to sell them. I also notice they are still currently in use.

a) Maybe an idea to go back and read the whole thread - plenty of clues in the previous posts

b) as previously mentioned they have offloaded newer locos than the VLs

c) the broker's site is neither up to date or accurate

They may well be still up for sale, but if there's money to be had hiring them out occasionally, then why not?

The VL is the stupidest looking loco ever was designed by Homer Simpson.

I wouldn't have thought it wasnt rocket science to keep on top of this.
Crap administration if you can't, and it doesn't matter what business you're in.

They're just chancers, like 75% of businesses on the internet, administration isn't a word that features in their dictionary.

I'm sure everyone is aware that the Sasser family has offloaded CF Asia Pacific (CFCLA) to a PE firm: Anchorage Partners?

Thanks for nothing - your participation on the forum is greatly appreciated.

Nothing on the Anchorage web site. This a regurg of a short piece in the Australian.
