Not yet. I still need a perfect copy of:

http://dams.omni.com.au.8080/razuna/raz2/dam/index.cfm  (bad)

http://dams.omni.com.au:8080/razuna/raz2/dam/index.cfm  (good period changed to colon Smile )

Which file format is preferred?  Yes to .GIF . No to .JPG, .PNG and .MHT ?

Now what.

Will try to insert "Flag Design Australia First & Second Nations New (GIF).GIF"

I uploaded a couple of replacement files, and got some emails saying this:

"Hi there. The file (FlagDesignAustraliaFirstSecondNationsGIF.gif) already exists in Razuna and thus was not added to the system!"

Does "not added to the system" mean that the file was not updated?

OK. the system is smart enough to look at the image to ensure there are no duplicates.  You only need to upload once and it will insert into the database and catalogue.  include the metadata like description has it helps with searches.

You can ask the DAMS to generate any type of image file from the original file you uoloaded.  to get a URL link to the image you can get a thumb or the original image using:

Ok so the above image is one I took over the xmas break at Jillian Yard.  Note the tabs at the top of the image. Complete the informtion tab as I have so the photo/document/video has detail.

Then choose the second tab renditions and you will note the info at the top which links the current versions for that image.  You can create for example a GIF from the JPG etc.

For each image the system keep the original and creates a preview.  Both of these have their own links and each and every original image has an ASSETID in the system.

If you wish to post a link to the original image click on the original image direct link URL

You will then see two URL's

You want to use the second one at all times as the first is the asset direct link in the database at RP cannot yet work with this.  It can the second link.

In our case it is http://dams.omni.com.au:8080/razuna/assets/2/8BDFB95FF56548EC97590E6E7177B53C/img/E3353775290147A3A24B6549CD0A43DB/IMG_4331.jpeg

so all you need now do is click the button shown above for inserting an image and past the link shown above this line.  There you have it.  The next version of the code allows you to upload and insert images into forum and news posts which are stored in the DAMS as your private gallery.

Great! Now the diagram is showing on top of the page, instead of only when you reply.

This is typical of loops on the NSW North Coast line; am not sure if the Main West, Main South, Main North, and Unanderra-Moss Vale are the same.

Things are different between Melbourne and Seymour, in Victoria.

Points to note:
* Numbering of signals on North Coast are different.
* Home signals are 200m from their respective Starting signals.
* 51 and 52 points are released by timing tracks:
** 120sec IIRC on main and loop 1350m for full length of Main or Loop
** 60 sec IIRC on 50m timing track approaching Starting signals.
* If you set Home signal 3 or 10 first, then opposing points 52 or 51 are set the other way to provide an overlap toward Starting signal.
* If you set Starting signal 6L/6M or 7L/7M, then both points can be set for a through move through Main or Loop.
* if Outer Home signals are provided, 1 or 2, then things are a bit different.
* loop lengths may be different.

The problem with this is that Railpage is far more than just a forum. It tries to be a railfan's swiss army knife. There is no off the shelf solution that will do it all with a single login.

RP forums are based on PHPNuke but improved.  We have written many new modules also.

Without DAMS we cannot offer the ability to upload and insert images and video into posts.  This is why we have built it.

Also without DAMS we cannot store and show the camera feeds as FLICKR changes make it impossible to use them now.

DAMS has a bug whereby a black on blue "Thermometer" is endlessly displayed.

See "DAMS BUG 2020-06-10 Thermometer.GIF" for Screen Clip/Snip thereof

Also sometimes an second upload fails to do so, as for "Rail Diagram Watermark NSA.GIF." OK problem fixed for now.

I am still having problems getting such a .GIF image to appear on the top post, instead of when you press REPLY.

For file: Rail Diagram Stockinbingal 003.GIF

I confess to being lost.  if you want the same image as a JPG/GIF/ and other formats the dams will do it for you.  It will convert and store the different versions which can be address via URL independently.  Only upload the single image you need and dams will check anyway of that image is already in the database.

I have 9 files remaining after uploading and deleting a few using Razuna. By deleting a image and uploading a new image of the same name I can replace a old version of that image. So far Razuna works well.

Now suppose that I want use "Rail Diagram Stockinbingal 003.gif" visible in the top of a post, what do I need to do next?

BTW, my images are all drawn, they are not photos, so the amount of Metadata should surely be small.

Yes, that is it, the latest proposal for Stockinbingal Junction. The road alignment is greatly improved as well as the rail alignment.

All of this trackwork is needed to avoid an undesirable near-90 degree diamond crossing about 200m to the west of old 122 points.

The future numbers of Y and Z points are as yet unknown.

The level crossing with boom gates just to  the west of 2E point might be retained for local road traffic

Since the road and rail deviations may slice the land into awkward pieces, some occupation crossings are likely to be needed.

All this is rather hard to explain without a diagram.
