Working at the new Rail Operation Centre Green square

I currently work for Sydney trains, I am thinking of applying for a couple of different roles at the ROC at Green Square, one being a social media officer. I would like to get some insight from people that work there about what it’s like. Such as the culture, management, and any other positive or negative experiences working there. I currently really enjoy my role but I am young and want to try something new within sydney trains.

I know a couple of people who work there but not well enough to get info on what you want re culture etc. Why not apply for the jobs you are interested in anyway. You do not have to take them if successful, if you find out any negativity in the meantime, but apply all the same. And sometimes someone says something negative about their workplace, and the next person says how great it is. Human beings are funny people with how they often feel about a workplace. But being young, as you say, you have decades of service ahead of you, and the fact you are prepared to test new things within  your employment is a positive attitude. You have nothing to lose by applying. And even getting an interview is good practice as well. What I do know about Sydney Trains is that unlike the past, they hold Managers very accountable for their actions these days, some may not agree with me, but I can assure you it's not "jobs for the boys or mates" like years gone by.
