Today saw the last Aurizon train loaded on QR's Ebenezer branch, with the now closed New Hope Jeebropilly Mine stockpile cleared. The branch east of Rosewood, opened in 1990, and has carried around 25-million tonnes since it was built.

After close to 150-years, this train represents the end of Ipswich area mining and rail loadings. With alternative traffic unlikely, the branch faces almost certain closure and removal.
