VL360-B76 have stalled hauling the Up Ultima Hay at Warrenheip this morning. The B failed and the VL ran out of fuel (since its fuel capacity limited on our lightweight BG tracks).How does a train run out of fuel? Couldn't reactive plans have been made for a truck to have been dispatched for a refuel somewhere, or did the failed B just muck everything up?

It ran out of fuel due to lack of planning not because "since its fuel capacity limited on our lightweight BG tracks". The capacity restriction is a given before the train even departs for Ultima.

The last Deni Rice train was in January. Latest ABARE forecast is for a summer 2020/21 rice crop of 258 kT. So a big improvement on 2019/20, but still a long way short of previous harvests.
