Where am I Victoria? - Non Cryptic - #3

Very clever, JMarto15, and absolutely correct.  I am Holden, between Sydenham and Diggers Rest.

Holden was open for a very short time, less than a calendar year, in 1860.

One of the first clues was that those with the benefit of hindsight could make the observation that the subsequent history of the area lends a certain irony to my name.  The general area around or near the site of Holden station is now where the Calder Park Raceway is located.

Your turn.

I will try Seville - on the old Warburton line, also a city in Spain which is the home of Sevilla F.C.

¡ Muchas gracias, Señor(a?) JMarto15 !

Now, continuing with the "name" theme .....

I am (was) a station on a closed line, but my name is similar to that of an open station on an operational line.

Diggora West?  (I understand that it is the name of the area in which the station stood; but the V.R. resisted naming the station "Diggora West" for a long time, indeed until ordered to do so, probably by the Place Names Committee, preferring Warragamba because of concern that it would be confused with Diggers Rest.)

I first thought of Warraquil and Warragul - but Warraquil changed it's named to Netherby before the railway arrived.

apologies, upon double checking, my answer could not be right so I withdraw it.

Well, that didn't last long - Diggora West is correct.  It was (for a while) a station on the Cohuna line.

Over to Faredodger.

I am a station on a closed line.  (Funny how often that comes up!)

I played host to a large number of passenger trains a long time after regular passenger services ceased.
