According to the latest Roundhouse magazine (in an insert that I can't just remember the name) they have bought 4918 in working condition from 3801 Limited for around $70,000+

For $70K they could have moved the loco sitting in that paddock. Doesn't seem to be any priorities.

Haven't been to that Red Bending paddock for 25 years. Loco has not moved. Any damage that could have done by vandalism or souvenir hunters has been.
The environment in that area is far less conducive to iron oxide production, than Dorrigo.   Even if it's flooded up to the footplate from time to time. Will never run again in steam, probably better where it is. Is there any storage fees? if so it's a liability.

4918 was hauled to Cardiff by G513 on the 9th of February and will be trucked to Dorrigo from there.

Found this old footage, recently posted on YouTube.
There is a part 2. No link, easy to find.
Just a massive undertaking. No further commentary from me.

Seems Railpage is set to display a video box for a youtube url, even if there's no video on the page so linked. That link is to David Page's Uploads videos page.
