With 2021 being the year of rail in Europe this will really drive adoption and reduction of carbon emissions for transport across the major routes.  Europe likes trains and it is working to reduce aircraft movements across the continent and is also resuming more and more sleeper services.

Single ticketing into the UK from various routes will be a real winner for business travelers who will no doubt get frequent miles for the services.

Just shows what can really be achieved with good quality track and rolling stock.

Eurostar-Thalys rail merger proceeds, challenges European air routes

Ticketing will still be worse than it was a couple of years ago, before Eurostar and Thalys withdrew the access of Deutsche Bahn to sell through tickets from Britain to destinations as far away as Vienna.

It will be incredible if Eurostar manages to claw back even half of the travel lost to COVID-19 and Brexit by the end of 2022.
