It common courtesy to acknowledge that you've lifted something - as I said along the lines of "...in the words of the great Margaret Thatcher" or "...as John F. Kennedy famously said...". This policy is actually a leftover from the Obama era where he passed a law saying that federally-funded schools must allow children who identify as "female" or "male" to be allowed to use the toilets and change-rooms of their choice - a 2016 analysis of the announcement from ABC America. Further, if you identify as a girl you must be allowed to play with their girls in their sports or else that's a form of discrimination - Biden's incoming legal team have confirmed that this will be part of the reforms; US Education Week says that this is the current advice being given to schools.

It's a worry - Obama passed a law without telling schools how they should take steps to prevent potential sexual predators into changerooms, how they should define who was genuine and how they should protect girls from boys who were simply having a lend. In addition boys who are biologically still boys are going to cause problems for girls when they play things like contact sport because they're naturally stronger than girls and it really isn't fair. Obama didn't tell schools how they should manage any of these problems, he just dumped them with that law and told them to deal with it - and Biden is set to do the same.
