Yes, given all the recent hotel quarantine issues in other states, time for a more detailed examination of the Federal Government's role, with its aged care facilities. Interesting that Greg Hunt chose to release (bury) the report into St Basil's and Epping Gardens aged care at 4pm on the same day that the Victorian Hotel Quarantine Inquiry report was released, even though they received it 3 weeks earlier. (The owner of one of the faciliites has since had 'urgent business' in Greece.) Still, you wouldn't expect any better from him or Richard Colbeck.

The Vinelander
If you define 'keeping us all safe' by having 820 deaths from COVID (766 more than any other state) then I guess you're all 'safe'.

820 deaths, a vast majority of which were in the FEDERALLY RUN aged care system.

And the Feds wanted nothing to do with it.

There's a massive recession waiting on the other side of this thing and the various government are still figuring out how to spend their way out of it.

Just let it happen, it's inevitable. Continuing to put it on the credit card is not going to save us in the long run.
