I have it on good authority that work is being put into NSWRail.net such that people will be able to contribute to it once again.

The first phase will enable people to upload and publish their photos directly on the site. This work is mostly done. Eventually most or all of the site content will be editable by anybody with an account.

Stay tuned. Phase 1 should be ready in a couple of weeks.

I don't think it has been updated for years.

It was and still is until last week a great resource.

The owner indicated a few years back that he was not updating for the foreseeable future due to other commitments.

I'm sure the site likely closed due to not paying the bill or the platform it was on closed. At one point I tried to reach out to the owner to assist a few years back, but no reply.

I believe NSWrail.net was hacked, I visited the website about 4 months ago and haven't been on it since! I was trying to get some station photos that I had forgotten to download for a project and after clicking only on the first photo I was taken to a very unpleasant website hosted by India, I closed it off and tried again to open another station photo. And I was than taken to another unpleasant website hosted by India(You sicko's)

I decided never to visit NSWrail.net again, hoping it would be fixed
I did report the disgusting India links to the AFP

I also visited Black Diamond Models, only 2 days ago! I was looking at the 220 class and clicked on a link there. I was then taken to an adult website hosted by Pakistan, I tried clicking on it again and it took me to a different adult website hosted by India

I knew it had been hacked, no need to report it to the AFP! Been trying to get Black Diamond Models email address to let them know what's happening there!!!

Just like Youtube (Pakistan and India) is spamming the daylights out of it hosting terrorism and their dirty little secrets towards babied and children (You filthy animals)

As for Google search, it's also been hacked by Pakistan and India displaying fake websites
For example: I reported a fake website of AUSTRALIA POST hosted by India and over 10,000's more fake websites hosted by Pakistan and India

GET A LIFE Pakistan and India!!! If you don't believe what I am saying, I can show a lot of proof
excluding those sicko sites from India (Dirty mongrels)

Such a shame that a once great site has come to this unfortunate end.

Hopefully this isn't the end, but with every passing day I start to doubt that.

So, the website points to DigitalPacific, a reputable web host. Do you want to tell me how you think it was -- as you say -- 'hacked'?

Stop saying things have been hacked, when you've got no proof to back your claim. You're seeing the default Service Unavailable CPanel page. That's it. That's what you're seeing.

Are you sure your computer browser hasn't been hacked, spoofed or infected with malware, spyware or some other virus or malicious code for you to have seen this content.

Try using ad blockers, flushing your DNS cache and emptying temporary files in addition to running an antivirus program. Make sure your proxy is set to no proxy and not pointing somewhere it shouldn't be.

Working as of now and tested on a station way out of my usual area of interest so not likely to be stored in my browser history

I have opened the Railnet site around a dozen times in the last week. Some of the photo's have been removed but the general aspect of it still working

Strange I can get onto the website no problem at all. Not hacked. As others said are you sure that your browser hasn't been "hacked"?

Are you sure that you  are really using google and not one of those poxy pretend substitutes, that can happen when software is installed from the web?

It's all in the timing! NSWrail updates weekly at 0500 Eastern time Sundays. Access was denied (503) on Sunday and some, at least, of Monday this week.

Links to Google Maps no longer work for any location on the site, so far as I can tell. It's a great pity the site is not updated. It would be a great loss if it disappeared altogether. I recognise that is a decision for Mr Bozier.

Am not a conspiracy theorist. I never use Google to access the site.

no - the api changed for google .. still can use google for free just need to use the correct API script with a key..

Issue with the loss of the content is that the owner doesn't appear to answer emails and hence, uncontactable.

If I had the time I'd consider downloading the content and build a parallel site that can be updated.
