We are peaking now around the 550 online users/guests since the fix went in so we are sending a good amount of traffic to the internet.  I believe the issues are now really behind us.

Congrats and well done to all involved.

Has been frustrating as the packet loss issues were mainly outside of RP.

Now for the site work.

Feeling a lot better as the performance is excellent.  Just looked and we are serving 488 concurrent users

It would be nice to see the embedded images, rather than a black rectangle with three dots in the middle.

Stupid part is it would be far easier to just show the linked image rather than the processing it does to get to that black box.

Working on this by looking at logs.

In safari the images load.  They were loading in EDGE but not now.

A lot of PHP code was fixed by Paul whilst we still had issues with packet loss.  Now we just need to fix some other image related stuff and we can work to resume railcams and other services.

Regardless of whether I use Edge or Chrome I still seem to have problems loading images.  Also since the last outage I have been unable to use the reaction buttons in the forums and I am also no longer able to use the "Discuss this News Article" button in the news section.

I suggest clearing your cache, these functions are working for me on Edge Chromium.

As complained before the "Reset Time Last Visit" function does not work.

When you press a button on a website and that website cannot respond immediately, it should at least change the, say, colour of that button to show that that function is pending.

If this is not done, then the user may think that the button has not been activated and press the button again, which may confuse the website.

One button on Railpage which does not show a "pending" status is  the RP sign-on button, which seems to take as much as 35 seconds to react. This may indicate that the button has not been pressed properly, and the sign-on function hasn't been called at all, and that-
"Login to Username" green
"Login to Username pending" yellow (extra step)
"Username" purple.

By changing the colour of "Username" in purple, it can be seen out of the corner of one's eye.

The may be other functions that could be improved with a "pending" status. Actually most other buttons are well-behaved and change to yellow as soon as the "butting" is touched, including

PS. The lack of a quick response to pressing the login button may explain why I have complained about the "endless loop" problem causing difficulty signing on (login-ing).

I tried the (new)? facility that linked a news item to a thread.

When I tried to relay to my first item, it wouldn't save it because the title was in ALL CAPS.

Suggest that you change a few CAPS to Lower case.

Nice to have this link.

For some reasons there are two thread titled "Costa Rica Feasibility study into Pacific railway revival"

But when I tried to delete one, I got the message "You cannot delete posts which have been replied to."

But neither post is currently replied to. SadSad
