So first there was Rodney King, then George Floyd, Daunte Wright, and now we have this.
An alleged shoplifter - in a wheelchair - was shot 9 times in the back at close range by an "off-duty" police officer who was moonlighting as a security guard at Walmart - apparently that's a thing over there. The officer has claimed the victim showed a knife when asked to produce a receipt for an item he's taken and that justified the use of shooting him 8 times, a 2 second pause, then a final shot to make sure he was dead.
I thought the murder of Floyd was about an egregious display of policing as I'd ever seen, but this latest one stands head and shoulders above anything else I've seen the Seppo police do before. I get that they have a sh!tty job, but this? This is not Policing.
This is cold-blooded murder.
