Would you have prefered Sinopharm (I've had), 60 - 75% effectiveness for a about 3 months, then SWFA. Despite the AD govt jabbing 200,000 people a day in a county of 6 m (Dubai Emirate intially went with Pfizer/AZ), they couldn't jab people fast enough to rid the county of CV. As soon as Pfizer was rolled out to the whole country achieving +95% for everyone > 5 years old, cases plumented, kids went back to school, parents back to work, travel, events, resteraunts.

The reason kids were jabbed as because the kids are biggest petri dish. Come to school mix their germs, then take their bugs home. Anyone with a kid in child care knows the snot is never ending. I've never had so many colds in such a short space of time as when my kid was in day care.

Kids themselves are low risk to the virus, but they are the worst carriers. Vaccine speeds up their severity and recovery time to reduce the likely hood of transmission so mum and dad or worst grandparents are less likely to get it and you know, DIE!

Yes both my kids got it, both asked to get it, both asking if they need to be given booster. There was no practical alternative and it did the job that it was designed to do and life is mostly back to normal now. CV isn't even in the news much and when it is its from other countrys.

Certainly prior to the use in CV vaccine you wouldn't have a clue what was in the usual kid vaccines. nRMA technology will be very much used in greater frequency as time goes by.

I am disappointed by removal of these, it is pandering to quacks and those relying on them for information about the vaccine.

I think much of the opposition to vaccinating children has something to do with the current vaccines not providing a general immune response.

The current vaccines did block transmission of delta and prior strains, not so much of Omicron.

What's ridiculous about it, Billy - I'm just making an observation that Trudeau has had the 'rona twice this year despite being vaccinated. I made no comment about lock-downs, the overall response or any other factor. Just the fact that a very high profile advocate of vaccines has had it twice in four months even though he's had four shots of the vaccine.

The CV-19 vaccine (which is not immunisation) does not prevent inflection, it is designed to reduce both the severity, complications and recovery time. For many people this is the difference between death and survival for others its the difference between none or minor symptoms that you get over in a few days and something that is more severe and takes 1-2 weeks, or longer.

The Flu vaccine is similar, you are not immunised.

Hepatitis, Measles etc vaccination leads to immunisation.

5min in Google and you would see the rate of spread of CV-19 decreases as vaccination rates increased.

I use to expect to get the flu every 2 years. As a teacher, especially as a school librarian with my head down near kids so much of the time, it was something I just lived with.
In 2002, I took my mother, by then 92 for her annual flu vaccine (my sister was not available) and decided to get it as well (and pay for it then ). I have had it every year since. The last time I was in bed with the flu was 11/9/2001, a date that is hard to forget.
OK I have not been in a classroom of kids since 2010 but still no flu in all that time.

I also now take Buccaline, which is not available in Australia, twice each winter season. It is an anti bacterial oral vaccine in tablet form which reduces the effects of cold viruses.

The second Covid booster is not yet available in NZ but I have a prescription from my doctor as I am finally travelling back to Australia in 3 weeks time to see my family.

1) There is a difference between vacination and immunisation.

2) No one has ever, ever stated you will be vacinated against CV-19, because you cannot, there is no such vaccine.

3) You can however be immunised against other infections, why because each bug works differently. For example for chickenpox your body retains a piece of the chickpox virus to keep reminding the immune system to maintaining the ability to fight it.

4) For flu type viruses, such as common cold, flu and CV-19, this doesn't work. The body killed the virus and ridss it from the body so after a period of time it starts to loose its effectiveness it previously learnt. This applies to the vaccine.

5) The flu and Cv-19 type vaccines teach the body to fight the virus, they don't prevent infection. As the body is already aware on how to fight the virus, the infection duration, consequence and severity should be reduced. ie you can fight it at home on the couch over a few days, not in the ICU.

Now here is the key part Don and you said this yourself, so if you are not reading your own posts then you desereve to have your posts called out for being dumb smeg.

YOU SAID, the Canadian PM got it twice in one year. Now if he got Chickenpox of Hep, he wouldn't get it twice. Why Don? It thinking time....................... got it yet?

Lets give you some credit and go Bingo. Yes Don, because his body retains the ability to fight it as the original infecton effectively immunises him and the variation in the pox or hep isn't there. However with CV-19 it doesn't, ie you cannot be immunised either from the vaccine or the bug itself. Yes Don, its quite possible to get CV-19 twice, actually my wife has an employee who got it 5 times.

Now what does that tell you about those individuals? Maybe their immunse system is compromised or maybe they were just exposed to slightly different variants.

No COVID vaccine was designed or promoted as such to prevent infection, just reduce the likely hood, severity, duration and consequence. ie less people DIE, less people need ICU, less people suffer long COVID/
