22 year old guy having sex with a 16 year old girl

Hi. Long time reader, first time poster.

I found this in a fitness forum.

A guy, 22, wants to have sex with a girl who's 16. I'm the dad of a 1 year old daughter. I am worried about her enough as it is, but I cant think of how much I'd worry about this if this was my daughter. I'm angry about this guy doing this, am I right to be angry? What would you do if your daughter was in this situation?

(to make things equal, you can read the 22 year old guys side on his blog, http://www.becomingapua.com/2007/09/06/having-sex-with-a-16-year-old/ )

you teach your daughter good values and you won't have any problems. That is your primary task as a parent.

as for blokes who write titillating stories on the internet, *yawn*

Its probably not true and if it is, then shame on him for plastering his titillating stories out there for all to read.  the bloke's a jerquer.

Story reads like fiction.

But anyway, as 574m said, teach your daughter the values you think she needs. To do this you need to be working on building a strong no-bull, fair dinkum, honest, open, continuous relationship with your daughter, starting now, so that the two of  you can talk about almost anything as she grows to be an independent person.

Treat your wife/partner in the way you want boys/men to treat your daughter. You are her No.1 male role model. Then trust her to make good decisions.

Sometimes things may not go the way you think they should.  Discuss events/experiences to build learning rather than criticising and killing communication.

I recommend this as the Dad, married 30 years, of 4 girls now aged 27 - 18 who are getting on with their lives. Send me a PM if you want to discuss anything more.

Hey, it's legal, so heh. If you lived over here, there would be nothin you could do about it (not even a simple punishment!). The second she hits sixteen, she's considered emancipated by law and her own legal guardian.
