This is Victoria, not NSW, therefore safe working and signalling are different here!

Yes it is still Double Line Block, Two position signalling is still current and there is no talk of a system upg ...

I don't get it.

Your all against the VR livery, yet most of you enjoy capturing the old girls out on the main line...

I don't think you all understand the meaning of "heritage railways"

Without actually having visited the place, it does look a bit like Mudgee?

Go see it for yourself and take photos. They can't stop you. Don't need Grosso to be the hero photographer here.

Bit hard to tell from that photo, also a bit hard to tell what the railway is if we can't get a location...

I believe that the Y class was running a warm bearing at South Morang?

Not a bad effort considering the Km's that the old girl traveled.

Managed to pass it on the up Paper train between South Yarr ...

That would be Steamrail Victoria. A private, not for profit group aimed to run steam/diesel hauled heritage main line services over the Victorian Network.

Yes, steam hauled on the Saturdays. Often assisted by a diesel, or two.

The were also running the Heritage main line sector prior to that being taken over by the RTBU.

Have you been told to keep quiet now Grosso?

Seems in previous threads about the Bendigo line and toolamba you were "always opinionated" now, not so much?

Currently a 25km/h restriction through th ...

You being serious here?

WCR ran a regular Saturday Warrnambool service using modified R711 and, later using R766.

They also ran a monthly trip to Echuca.

I'm sure if you type in West Coast Rail in ...

Deni heads up late afternoon/early evening and returns the following morning, usually arriving into the docks about 1400.

Good opportunity to get photos of the loaded up service.

Yeap.

The plate carries the wording 'WATO'

VL 362 has been spending its time in melbourne assigned the Maryvale Service. May have been doing a turning move on the triangle

Preferred method is char fired.

Very nice looking Locomotive.

From what I can tell it's certainly not a Hunslet. I'm thinking that it is a "Heidi" type locomotive which was one of the many "freelance" narrow gauge locos designed  ...

Both, new wagons have been transferred down from NSW and "commissioned" at Somerton, then transferred to Melbourne.

Glad you liked that train on Sunday, I was driving it!

Basically yes, it's close enough to get some good video/photos and you have a good view of signals so you can see when something is due. Thoug ...

A2 986 had a successful steam up on the 26th Feb 2014. Video can be found below.
