There is a restored double decker tram in the Tasmanian Transport Museum. The museum in next to the railway line in Glenorchy (about 8 km north of Hobart city centre).

I have emailed the state govt DOI on two occasions for the state of play on their scoping study - no reply.  So I would say reintroduction to commercial passenger trains is a dead issue!

The other problem with the velocity trains is the lack of leg room.  The seats facing each other have less room than a B class tram!.
