At the end of the day, it all costs money. If the train driver has found a potential safety issue with the train, then I'd much rather endure a cancelled service and a coach, then have V/Line feel com ...

Note that the 12th is the same date as the P Class tour.

Were the CL - CLP/CLF and AL - ALF rebuilds not done by AN?

What, apart from routine maintenance, has been done to them since, please?

G&W are indeed a North American company:

Oh yes, there's no denying that you can't just copy/paste American style operations over here owing to the differing circumstances. That being said though, I believe my point remains valid. You stated ...

The one at Harden is across the road from the main south line - I don't think the park itself has a view of the line, but it's literally a thirty second walk. When I stayed there I was awoken by shunt ...

And these are on the epping to chatswood line?
blacktails1985
Not currently.

They will be on all stations with the driverless trains, according to the NSW Government.

My personal view comes from when I used to clean stations in the Sydney underground. Shorts were a necessity, you try mopping those platforms in muggy summer heat with no airflow. It's great that all  ...

What screen gates?
blacktails1985
Gates on the platform that open with the train doors to stop people accessing the track.

Given the conditions of the waiver, I'd strongly suggest the movement will happen at night, to cause as little disruption as possible.

I very much doubt it will go up on a coal train as most (all?) coal trains in the Hunter use ECP braking now. Likely hitch a ride on a grain train.

Thanks for the update Greensleeves! It's always interested me as it's always been an orphan in the El Zorro fleet, so I could never understand why it was persisted with.
