I prefer to think of the glass as 2/3 full rather than 1/3 empty. Yes, it is unfortunate that 5917 cannot make it along this year, oh well, guess if you still wanted to see it you could always pick up ...

Excellent news, good to hear 3526 is getting some well earned TLC.

I'm sure this down time will go a long way to ensuring it runs reliably for many years to come.

It was a major steam "event" that, in the days before the internet. went basically unnoticed by many rail fans.

Given the article has a quote about the train saying it will be 'uniform' I suspect SDSR have acquired another former Kuranda car.
