From their facebook page. 845 has arrived at the Mt Barker depot. A big win for Alcohaulics like myself!

Fingers crossed they will paint her in mustard pot once she's mechanically servicable.

The AG and BG cars are missing from the set, and perhaps the only way for SAR modellers to also get the AD and BD cars made?

If an NR had been painted in Overland livery in 1:1 scale I think our chances would be higher that Auscision would make them. Eventually they will run out of NSW and Vic stuff to make, and then we mig ...

Hmm only scenery these days?

Thanks for sharing Poath,

Very interesting eye opener- especially the pad printing and paint masking. I even went to the Scaletrains website to see how they are going. I love their philosophy with ...

The bogies do let down an otherwise great model, not very auscisiony.... the only way to fix it is to do some old fashioned modelling!

Also if SSR could buy the Barossa wine train that would be great, then we could all have RTR Bluebirds.

What do you buy for the man who has his own 1:1 scale trainset? The HO scale version of course!

Anything BGB did is being produced better by Orient express reproductions, Ozrail, Rocky river and Strath hobbies. With few exceptions like the steel cars, I wouldn't bother, save your sanity and buy  ...

V/Line would actually be a good candidate for a what if, and more plausible than AN green and gold. But I'll leave that one for you guys to have fun with!

SAR523 you get the gold star! yes I painted the bogies opposite to the way I planned, even after I double checked, an easy fix as the side frames are a press fit into the bogie.

lkernan that is on ...

In a parallel universe class leader XL01 passes through Balhannah during AN's test runs around the state. There is one detail I missed....

I bought one the other day, first impressions are quite good. Much quieter than my old one and the noise it does make isn't annoying to me. I havent tried the airbrush that comes with it yet so I can' ...

Thanks gents,

With the yellow I certainly applied it over the silver, I usually use primer first but not this time which probably didn't help. Yellow first and then mask the stripes is the way to go ...

There should be a few of us given the F class, Rx, 700, 720, 500 and brass 520's getting about. But I do wonder where they are hiding.... I've only seen a handful at exhibitions and not many more on t ...

The AN XPT is coming along nicely, I resprayed the green with Humbrol #2 acrylic. I must say the colour is pretty spot on and will always use this on all AN repaints. The Humbrol #24 trainer yellow I  ...

Placed my order, now bets are on for their next model- suburban centre and end loaders perhaps?

Looks great as always! Resin casting? If so you're getting better each time. One off prototypes like this really suit kit builds so it'll be on my wish list.

Some noteworthy progress with my 'what if' AN XPT. The Tamiya acrylic XF5 green is too drab for my liking, but it's a good start to see how it could look. Two versions- A generic livery, and a homage  ...

I went along yesterday to get my fix since I wasn't able to fly back to Adelaide for the AMRE, there was still a line up at 10.30 which was a good sign. I headed straight for the sellers stands to sna ...

Is there any historical significance of [color=#000000][size=2][font=Roboto, wf_SegoeUI, 'Segoe UI', Segoe, 'Segoe WP', Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]2006 & 2112? e.g they were the last in revenu ...

Sounds like it would be a win win for us broad gauge brothers, I hope OER get the hint!

Roachie I wish there was a kit build option these days!

Why pay the Chinese to cut the pieces off the sprue, glue it together and spray it grey?! that's half the fun- one of the reasons I loved the S ...

The quality looks great, but It looks like the cream window band has turned to 'custard' Wink  I would hate the task to repaint the green arch versions, but I'm sure they've noticed.

And yes I seco ...

A missed opportunity for sure, considering they're only a 2 pack- not much plastic for the money. Nothing some brass angle can't fix, I'll still get some as I quite liked their last offering.
