It's become a pretty frequent occurrence on Pakenham/Cranbourne for an overloaded Comeng to start on time, begin to run late as it gets heavier and slower to load, which leads to a self-reinforcing cy ...

Anyone got any news about this? The silence from the government is a bit of a worry... wonder if we'll see them this year?

More generally, Melbourne's PT network lacks any kind of resiliency/redundancy for train failures, because the low frequency/connectivity/timeliness/total absence of buses and general low average spee ...

But we are talking about millions of dollars so this isn’t easy or quick.  But worth having something to work towards. My question is where are the quick wins?

There were two alstom comeng carriages parked on what I think is the siding line on the Frankston lines heading into Caulfield this morning.
