Balmatten?

Misspelled, but correct.

Balmattum was many years ago (until the 1960's/1970's) a crossing loop on the North-East.  After it was abolished, a loop siding (probably No. 3 Road, based on the track layout I can recall) was retained which saw use as a ballast loading point.
I've got a photo somewhere of an N going past with 4 VZMF's in the siding in 1994.

Staff locks were incorporated at either end, and when miniature electric staff was abolished on the sections north of Seymour,  Annett locks were used instead.  In mid 2006, after many years out of use and at leats two years of the points being spiked normal, the points and Annett locks were removed from the site.

Thanks Mr Notch,

For three points - I still have quite a few sidings and roads in my yard, although several are booked out.

Benalla.
"ninthnotch"

Got it in 1.

Benalla yard is still mostly intact, apart from the odd points being removed but several roads are either disconnected or spiked out of use.

Back to you Ninthnotch.

Thanks... Must tally up the scores one of these days.
