Following on from our discussion in the Auscision thread, if it comes complete with the cars, the current price of $128 (plus $10 postage) isn't a bad price.

Looks like 4 generic (ie: non-Australian) cars on the lower deck.....not a bad idea, because you can't see enough of the cars to be able to easily tell what make/model they are.

Now I have decided to put my own BKX up for sale, but without any cars. This one is a End Of The Line hobbies made brass kit, so probably better quality than the Hanovale one in the first advert: Item number 161364907080

I always think it'd be funny if the manufacturers decide not to go ahead with these wagons they tout and then the opportunists are left high and dry after flogging their wagons on ebay...

In my case I wouldn't be fussed either way. If mine sells then that's okay; even if Auscision doesn't proceed with their planned model/s. I would either buy another kit to build or just go without. No skin off my nose either way.

Depends on what you want to model, the EOTL kit is hardly perfect either.

This seller is currently away until Aug 06, 2014, and is not processing orders at this time. You can add this item to your watch list to purchase later.

Picture Information

This is a pay now item that closes tomorrow yet the Vendor is away until 6 August. Just because he is away I cannot see why your offer to purchase now is refused. I reported this guy to eBay.

That's legitimate, the reason sellers can list themselves as away and bids/buys get rejected or delayed because the average ebay user (not necessarily you) is not able to process thoughts that an absent seller won't be shipping the goods tomorrow.

OK, so hopefully not too daft a question, but what's wrong with it? - it looks ok.

Cheers Alex.

Alex,

I agree, but was not going to "bite" when Aaron made that comment.

Sure, it's not perfect (what model is "perfect"). Actually, what constitutes "perfect" anyway? It reminds me of an argument I got into years ago with a golfer....(I'm not a golfer, but have played a couple of times many, many years ago) I said how do you know if you've played the perfect round of golf? He said a perfect game would be if he got a par on every hole. I said that isn't a perfect game.....a perfect game would be a score of 18 for 18 holes!!!! hahaha

Anyway, back to the kit.....yes, it could have had more underbody details, but I don't care as my track work is *just* good enough that my rolling stock spends most of its time upright!!! hahaha

If this the current value of Trainorama Tuscan 4701 then I better sell mine then, if the price for the candy version in the same condition was that much as well then I would definitely be happy......

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TRAINORAMA-4701-TUSCAN-RARE-BRAND-NEW-NEVER-OUT-BOX-LONG-SOLD-OUT-/131293460624

Check out the bidding on this item currently $180.00 with 69 bids (I think this bidder wants to make sure that he wins this auction).

Wouldn't trust the first seller as far as I can spit, just had a run-in with him over another item. Check out the cancelled bids!

The other auction for the coal hoppers, I have seen this bidder before, he just puts in 50-60 bids all at once, most only $1 or so apart. Must have some 'logic' behind it, but I can't see it. Maybe just trying to intimidate other bidders, I've beaten him many times.

Could also be a ebay automatic bid glitch too.

It's probably at a not too bad value point at the moment, but the potential is there for crazyness.

However

I don't understand what's going on here with those 3 very high (now retracted) bids.....but even now that they've gone, it is interesting to note that the current bids are all from bidders with no previous "history"!!!! I smell a rat.

Why wait for a $220- 48 class from Auscision when you can have a beautiful 48 class RIGHT NOW from a cheap starting bid of ONLY $250-!!!

I'm gunna hold back until near the end of the auction before I make MY move on this "BARGAIN"..... hahahaha

Bet you I have, but only from Tyco, but even at that price it is way overpriced. Tyco locomotives were made cheaply and it shows it too. Even Lifelike were better quality models than Tyco.
