Well things can be a joke on Ebay. I seen rollingstock go way over priced.
Number 1, what caused this. people are bidding far too early for the item
Number 2/ people are placing bids with large amounts of money.

I been dealing with Ebay for a few years now and I know the game.

A nice freindly tip for Railpage Australia™ users out there there are tricks out there to get items cheap and a fair price on Ebay.
Number 1, watch the item in your my ebay list.
Number 2, don,t bid too early
Number 3, place your bid in the last dieing seconds
Number 4, use buy it now if its avail.

So You train models collector like myself have fun Ebaying

I'll ask people not to excessivly post links to shonky items, it may be in fact helping them.

So let's continue the discussion.

Regards,
David Head

Another thing, if you are posting ebay links, they are so long they make the page wider and then you need to scroll sideways. This fixes it:

linky

It gives you this:

That is 100% right David, What I posted that sitll works for me all the time and still loving it. my latest hit was Austrain NR 75 in original livery. Not bad $217.50 to my door.
You will find it  on the sticky page Upgrade Locomotive and Rollingstock page.

I must admit I do know prices of locomotives and rollingstock, New to Old.
If it,s over priced I don,t bid or worry about it. Let,s face it I,m getting great cheap items from Ebay.

Not a 'comedy of' but this should be a good one to watch (or bid on, for those with deeeeeep pockets): Austrains NR52 (black, pre-indigenous)  Currently at $425.

That, along with his CLP, should go up quite a bit. Recently, a Green and Gold CLP new went for $430.00. As for the black NR52, isn't the record something like $800?

Was NR52 in black the only limited run NR from Austrains? Or was there also a Grey NR30 (sorry I can't remember~)?

There was a grey NR30.That black one is tempting considering it is the only one i am missing.

Nah, forget this one Tom.  It's already at $550 and still more than 3 days to go.  Think it might break the $800 ATF mentioned as a record.

Anyone want a guessing comp on what it will go for?  Put me down for $1035. Shocked

I bid on that black NR Embarassed

Seems the listing has been pulled by ebay for breach of policy, I'm guessing it's because he clearly stated he would only accept bank deposit payment in his description.

A Bergs Tulloch cars set released just a week or so ago and seller states "Officially sold out." however a quick bit of research shows its the 2 car set that has sold out, not the 4 car set being offered here. Starting price is $30 more than you can buy them new direct from Bergs.

These are the type of fools that get me they see the words sold out on something and do not read any further than that, if they they read it all it would be a lot better and not be actually a fraud, which it amounts to really. Buy mine as there is none left, and then you go to Bergs and they probably have a few sitting around! 8)

Awww come on supersix,
It is obvious that the poor bugger sneezed...........several hundred times, while he was painting.
I thought the loco number on the side was the asking price overlaid on the photo.....until I looked at the larger pic.
What more can I say......AAAACHOOOOOOO!!!!!! Laughing

Nothing like the delicate touch of a signwriter to paint a locomotive like in that post of Measwell's! I mean the yellow has covered so well and so delicately, it seems so real! LaughingLaughingLaughingLaughing

Rofl!!! Looks like a Kindergarten artwork. Laughing (no offense though, but the paintwork is umm...bad?)

Thumpa - you did a very good weathering job on that 47! It's showing - it's gone over the RRP. (but not enough to cover weathering costs). I had one guy come up to me once, and he was purchasing all the materials for weathering. He said "these are all the things I need to weather a diesel, as shown in the AMRM 47 class weathering job."  Very Happy

I thought that, that S was a suprise release from Powerline that the owner was unhappy with, hence the sale.
