Geelong, Bendigo, Maryborough and Ballarat has a service facility but i dont think the do locomotives any more. melbourne has the only S.G. facility's being south dynon loco dpt and the locomotive provisioning center which is P.N. inter model

What do you mean by service? you mean a full service i.e. oil change?
Or provisioning and refueling?
Portland was just a fuel point and provisioning and minor repairs.
Locomotives had to be sent back to Melbourne for major work/servicing.

IIRC, there is a waterpipe at Sunbury too? At the down end of platform 2 I think. Or has it been taken away after RFR?

Locomotives are fuelled when and where these days. The tanker used to call at CRT for the MB7/BM7services. Tankers can be seen at the docks on a daily basis. ElZ fuel almost anywhere they need to including by truck at the BG table at Dynon, depending on where they can buy it cheaper on the day.
As for servicing......there aint much left once South Dynon and the LPC are taken out of the general freight equation.
