Noarlunga Line Shutdown

1. Labor, Policy to electrify the Gawler line, expand the tram network, fix Torrens section of Main South Road.

None of those so-called policies can actually be found in the Labor platform, and all three have absolutely no credibility after being promised numerous times by the two gunners Rann & Weatherill - they're gunna do this, they're gunna do that but in the end they're firing blanks every time.

I don't think a Liberal government will be a good thing in the immediate term, but in the long term it will be good if a term or two in opposition helps Labor get their house in order.

Go ahead, vote for the greens if you hate the two main parties, but a vote for many of the minor groups just flows to the Liberals anyway. The one party that does deserve the "protest vote" is the Liberals for not even trying, didn't even trot out their usual pet road project this year.

Better still, people can write in their own preferences below the line rather than swallowing the typical FUD from the Labor Liars about "preferences flow to the Liberals anyway."

Unless you fill out below the line and put lots of numbers in before labor then lots of numbers then liberals, okay not that simple but you choose where your vote goes. Very Happy

It's not that hard if you have the necessary skills to count to 63, simply download a sample ballot paper and work out your preferences at home, then copy out the order onto the proper ballot paper at the polling booth.

I did directly ask the premier's office how they could justify spending $50 on a food bridge, when there was no funding to electrify the Gawler line. The foot bridge could be delayed until such time as a design SACA were happy with was worked out. I didn't get a reply, despite the office staffer being interested in the question as well.

Your right though, two choices:
1. Labor, Policy to electrify the Gawler line, expand the tram network, fix Torrens section of Main South Road.
2. Liberals, Policy missing in action. Deputy Leader uses dog ate homework type excuse.

Labor - Ambitious
vs
Liberal - Rubbish not even trying

Perhaps when you next bother to contact the Premier's office you might like to inform him of his rail policies, because the policies you post of are fiction according to SA Labor... No better way to get people to vote for you than to have them make up the party's policies to suit themselves.

I thought we had a thread on the politics and transport subject, after posters filled the Millswood thread with political banter.
Now we have another thread Hi-jacked! Sad

Aaron, I really fear for your mental health.
You really are talking utter nonsense this time,

Oh look it's the 30 year plan, which Labor are following through with.

My source for the continuation of the program to electrify the Gawler line is a reliable one, Tony Piccolo himself !
I got it in person, and in writing, that the plan to electrify to Salisbury is going ahead "despite the Federal Government pulling funding" to quote how he put it.

I you want to attack someone, the Liberal party's almost complete lack of policies is where you should put all your effort. You must be blind to know see the obvious problem here.

Not the 30 year plan rubbish, many of Labor's current members may be alive in 30 years, point us to an example of the electrification (any rail project actually) being an SA state ALP policy... You won't, and you can't because they are not running with it as a policy.

You're blind as well I see, here is the link again (it's Jay Weatherill's own site).

Oh and here is a current newspaper coverage article on the election.
Scroll down to halfway to the titled section "WHAT THE PARTIES HAVE PROMISED SO FAR"

But obviously all those concrete poles put along the Gawler line are a political stunt, they didn't actually plan on using them.
Keep digging yourself a deeper hole on this, you've got zero credibility anyway.
Any more dumb questions Aaron, feel free to get yourself banned, I'm sure you remember how to do that.
