The ALX/VMBX versions would be the models required as the basis for an AMRZ

Given how difficult it will be to remove the side sheeting from the framing and how much of the model will need to be discarded I think that a scratch build may very well be a better option.

There's quite a few car carriers not being done by Auscision. I have a suspicion someone else might be announcing some in the very near future.

Auscision missed the work 'Some'...

"Some Indian Red 421s Sold Out" would have been more accurate...

Paul

They did state which numbers are sold out so its fairly clear and considering 421-1,-3,-4 are sold out and 421-2 is the only orginal indian red with red lining left i would say thats more than "some", maybe they should have said the "majority" of red lined indian red versions are sold out. Either way we can all work out what is left by website and product numbers.

As has been discussed previously, the timing of the issuing of tax invoices for fully paid preorders is not related to the arrival of models but rather when they get round to doing the paperwork. If on the other hand you are referring to an invoice for any outstanding amount having only originally paid a deposit, then the timing could be relevant.

Auscision have released (photocopied) brochures for their upcoming bogie BKX / NMKX / etc car carriers at todays Thornleigh Exhibition.

Pre-order price is $130 for 2 car sets and $260 for the 4 car sets. $65 per car is amazing, everyone was tipping they would be so expensive.

After delivery price will be $150 and $300 respectively (still cheap considering the detail and construction of these impressive vehicles).

I was told they were much dearer. Glad they got it wrong.  At the prices you quote, they are going to sell out very quickly, indeed.

Same with me, both through the car carrier page and the order forms page.  Using both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Got a photocopied order form page at EMRE on Sunday.

Happy waiting,

John

Thanks for that confirmation John. They won't be here until next year so there's no great hurry.

I went to order CP brake vans but there is no sign of them on the order page.  Does that mean they are just somewhere in the future and not able to be ordered yet?  Or something else?

In the spirit of true helpfulness eh Paul?

Mark,

To find the notice Paul advises of you need to:
  1. Be on the Auscision site.
  2. Click on the tab Products.
  3. Then look for CP (it's well down the page)
  4. Click on CP.
  5. A page will come up that includes the note that order forms will be available closer to delivery.

Keep calm mate.  I think rudeness is a compulsory subject in schools these days.

John,

While I also grow tired of the rudeness on this and many other forums (not just model railway), I really don't see anything wrong with what Paul has written. I think another type of rudeness are those who ask questions to which the answers are glaringly obvious with 5 minutes of extra research. I call it the "American disease" where more people are becoming conditioned to expect answers to their queries without bothering to put a bit of effort into working it out for themselves. Most noticeable on car forums (eg - read the ******* manual) but becoming more prevalent even on these forums.

That's OK Tony.  We each have different ways of answering a query.  If my notion of a polite way of answering is outdated then sorry I mentioned it.  I merely found Paul's answer a bit abrupt.  However, many might consider it a polite way to answer, so I am not making a big deal out of it.

Looks like all the 73 class have sold out.  Still listed as 'Available Now' on Auscision's product page, but they are all marked as being sold out on the actual 73 class page.
