Was'nt there a O Scale 38 on display in their cabinet in 2014? Pretty sure I saw one....

I think this might have been borrowed and put there for a photo, just to stir people up. IIRC, it was there only for the night before an exhibition and appeared in the setting up photos.

It was a Burley model, & is rolled out every so often for the cause.

Rod,

I think they went the way of the MLV NSWGR louvre vans they indicated at one stage they would do.  Not popular with their fan club.  For that reason I have doubts they would ever produce a steam locomotive.

I would say they will do the Fishy belly MLV and derivatives but looking at all the different wagons that could be produced with that underframe it wouldn't be a cheap project to tool, they have obviously invested $ in drawings and artwork of versions so maybe a longer term project for if and when the Aussie dollar goes up.
As for a Steam Loco who knows maybe but they certainly havnt released any clues so far.

What would happen to prices if Australia joins the Chinese and Russian backed AIIB Banking Group? Australia appears to be a nervous partner if you read the British Press although Korea, Indonesia, Japan and Australia were not represented at the official announcements.
Would bypassing the US dollar and dealing direct with China and paying in their currency, improve things for our manufacturer / importers? I believe that China still is at a disadvantage importing much more than they export to us?
Cheers

It was a PSM 38, they locked it in the Auscision cabinet overnight. I took a pic of it on the Friday night and posted it for a shut stir.

I doubt if they worked over the weekend, but if they did start posting yesterday, today would be the day.  Auscision are unbelievably quick dispatching your models, is my experience. Smile In fact its past 10 so a walk up to the roadside postbox is in order!
Cheers

I agree Auscision are quick to get them out - but before they can do that they've got to get their hands on them. Its my understanding with Auscision that the status of any model becomes available for order (at the post delivery price) when the model first lands in Australia - not when Auscision actually get their hands on them. I recall based on the recent experience with the 45 & 46 classes that it took over a week between the model listed as being available and the first people (usually in Sydney) receiving their order. I could of course be wrong but I'd be surprised if anyone receives their P Class this week.

Besides keeping a watch on Auscision's FB page I've always found a good indicator is to also keep a watch on the Hobbyland FB page which seems to get a direct delivery. Of course things may be different with a Victorian model.

They did say on their FB site on June 13..
"Our P Class Locomotives will be here in 2 weeks. The pre-order price will end next week. Get your orders in and save! The popular V/Line Pass MK3 livery is selling fast and not expected to last long once they arrive."

So that seems to indicate they did get them already. I guess that could be the arrival date of the ship, although with all their experience, I sort of think they would have "expected" them at the warehouse Smile Still a chance for this week Wink

Are they really calling them "Our" thus no longer maintaining the veneer of separation from BRM?

Hmmm, all this talk about Mexican locos....what about the 421s??

Us NSW modelers never seem to get any new models!!! hahaha. (NB: for the benefit of those who would otherwise jump down my gob .... this post is made with my tongue firmly stuck in the side of my cheek)...

Never the less, I am a bit curious.....the last we heard the 421s were due early July (if my memory serves me correctly).

Ha Ha! wasn't that arrival just after the Viccy X Class?
Mind you I did hear that China had run out of paint after the 45's and all the electrics etc etc Evil or Very Mad Ha Ha
Might be worth reviewing the announcements over the last few years? You might be surprised at how little time has passed since the announcements...and for a few just how long Wink

At 9.30am post office requested my presence to pick up a registered parcel. Now I am expecting two parcels, one from Auscision, and the other from China with my wifi cameras and DVD recorder for the layout. But I got free delivery on that one..So hope its the Auscision parcel that I always have to sign for. Cant get there for a few hours but it would be nice.

Could have told you that Razz

My bet is tomorrow or Thursday. Given they probably spent the weekend packaging and monday posting. When they put up the "we have posted 'xxx' locos" It's usually the next day they show.

Yeah I knew that Sad

But new loco arrivals is like a kid being turned loose in the Beechworth lolly shop for half an hour, without Mum Very Happy
Its been too long since Auscision has tempted me. Must have been the Red Ghan AN? which I wont run, just sit on the shelf.
Just ordered the P Class sound decoders, so a couple more days wont hurt, in reality.
