    I am a closed station on a still open line.

    All relevant station infrastructure was removed many years ago, but my site is easily identifiable by even the most casual observer.

    Further clue:  I was a junction for most of my existence.

    Good answers, but neither Carlsruhe nor Branxholme.

    I closed much earlier than any of the stations mentioned so far.  My site is on a line that still has a passenger service.

    It is indeed Irrewarra, the junction of the cross-country line to Newtown, and closed in the late '50s.

    The original infrastructure is gone, but in recent years a replica nameboard in the old style has been put on the site of the goods yard rather than the platform.  That is why the site is easily identifiable by even the most casual observer - but only from one side of the train.

    I am a closed station on a closed line. Some limited bits of infrastructure remain. A rail trail now passes through me, and I'm a popular stop along the way for a break.

    "Limited" is a relative term, and there are plenty of excuses (pubs, cafes and the like, at least not during lock-downs) to have a break.
