I don't drink coffee, and make my breakfast the night before... I could cut that down to just 4min?  Only hindrance would be the fact that the bathroom and kitchen are not within the same room in my house.Laughing

5 Minutes?  I wake up, throw some clothes on, grab my satchel, and walk out the door.

Not a hope!

If I don't have a shave, and a luxurious shower, I do not function.  I don't mind getting up at 0530 as I do on work days, nor even at 0430 as I used to do when going up to PBR, but I ain't rushing.

I once woke up 25 minutes after I was supposed to start work, used the toilet, washed, had a cup of tea and drove 10km to work in outer city traffic in 11 minutes... Shocked

I've slept in before and somehow made it in 30 minutes from slumbering out of bed to being on a train to the city, and that's including a 15 minute walk to the station, plus breakfast beforehand (which everybody else is presumably skipping) and a shower.

Once upon a time i could get ready for school in 13 mins from waking up to out the door and then at school under the 7 giving me a good run of 20 mins.

If im going to work it can take me 17 mins to have a shower, do my teeth throw some clothes on and jump in the car, then 90 min drive to work, oh flipping fun haha then have breakfast at work, gotta love my job, 2 square meals a day provided

If i get paged (Rural Fire Service Volunteer - Communications) in the day it can take me 10 mins to get from home to the station and at my post, of a night only takes about 8 mins cause of less traffic and what not.

My steps to being ready for Uni in 5 to 10 minutes.

1 - Pour cereal and milk into a bottle for breakfast before going to bed.
2 - Set out clothes for the next day before bed.
3 - Sleep.
4 - Wake up at 8AM, grabbing the clothes I prepared the night before.
5 - Get in shower, soap myself up, brush teeth whilst in shower.
6 - Get out of shower, dry myself and put on clothes.
7 - Get keys, laptop, books and bottle with cereal and milk in it from the fridge.
8 - Jump in the car and drive to Uni.
9 - Arrive for 8.30 lecture/tute, power down my cereal on the walk from the car park to the Lecture Theatre/Tute Room.
10 (Optional) - Sit in said lecture/tute near a bin and power vomit into said bin due to persistent hangover.

Not too difficult if you're accustomed to short showers.

However, my situation is a lot more relaxed than most, such as people from Melbourne. This is because I live in Sebastopol, which is an outer suburb of Ballarat, and I go to Uni at UB's Mount Helen campus. This means I don't have to drive through the CBD, and can in fact take backroads whilst driving to shorten the trip to an average time of 10 minutes.

This is due to change in June though, as I'm dropping out of a Bachelor of Arts to start a Bachelor of Audio Engineering at SAE in South Melbourne. Yes, I know, I'm dropping out of a Bachelor of Arts, haha, I'm a pathetic loser. At least I'll be qualified to do more than make a coffee/flip a burger after my new degree.

At least I'll be able to get my gunzel on after class in Melbourne Wink

Cereal in milk overnight?  Is it a bit like a chunky flavoured milk or an extra-thick smoothie? Very Happy

I used start work at 3 or 4 am. I'd set the alarm for 15 mins before, get up, get dressed, grab lunch and gear, head out the door, water the lemon tree, drive 3 kms to work and start my machine right on the time. That was when I was home.
When camping at a motel, I'd set the alarm for say 3am, and start the machine by 5 past.
But I have to admit that anyone who had to work with me found that I'm NOT A MORNING PERSON. Laughing

My daily routine (Sundays and Thursdays excluded) is to wake up at 5am, put on my suit that I laid out last night, have my weetbix and milo, make sure my bag is packed, brush my teeth and walk out the door at 5:30am. 15 minute walk into town, grab my latte then get to Bowral station at 5:50 with 16 mins to wait for my train, read the paper and enjoy my coffee.  Very Happy

Yes, mmm not good. Eat your breakfast and brush your teeth, even if I wasn't to eat breakfast still brush teh teeth. It takes 2min and you can do while doing other stuff. If I only brush once a day, brown teeth, smelly breath and fur/gunk would be all too common and ulimately I'm guessing less sex!

I take 5min to brush teeth alone. But if I am in a hurry,

  1. 1.wake up

  2. 2. brush teeth

  3. 3.simeltaneously put breakfast laid out in bag

  4. 4.chuck phone in bag (charging)

  5. 5.double check I have everything needed

  6. 6.leave

I have everything prepacked, sleep in clothes (if a weekend gig), and shower night before. I rarely shower in the morning as my theory is that you stay cleaner showering at night because you wash the gunk from the day off. And yes, you do have night where you could sweat, but in winter it's normally fine. Just don't do too many pop off's under the doona! Esecially if you have a partner! Laughing
