Cruze 2nd Gen Diesel

But off road, certainly no complaints. Maybe Nissan designed it that way for a reason?

I hope I don't sound rude but... A Patrol and the real Landcrusiers(not the prado), etc are designed for off-roading, not for Freeway driving sitting on 110km/h with cruise control, so don't be surprised that they do not perform as you seem to think they should. Its just like the EL class locos were re-geared for slower, heavier frieght loads when CFCLA brought them from AN - they were (correct me if i'm wrong) to be orginially either fast freight or for fast passenger services like the IP, Ghan, etc.

It also severely irritates me when familys buy real 4x4s and drive them around cities. If you need the room, buy one of the many great SUVs that are now available that have been designed just for the city and some even have AWD ability for limited soft off-roading.

They won't need the trouble that comes with it, they should have bought a Forester as Typhon suggested.

Captivas - at least in 2009 - had that many warranty complaints and defects it wasn't funny.  The industry nicknamed them Craptivas for a reason.

Poor build quality (Daewoo are at the same build quality stage that Hyundai were at in the early 1990's, without the benefit of their cars basically being rebodied Lancers), many defects, low resale value and a reseller that is completely uninterested in fixing anything at all that will go wrong.

They're proof - as are the Barinas - that Holden will pass any old rubbish off, and people stupid enough to believe the myths that Holden spin about their history and reliability.
