Just a point of order. CityRail no longer exists, this will be a NSW Trains service.

hasn't taken affect, and lets face it, probably won't (if at all) untill the 2013 new timetable.

The start of NSW Trains was said to take up to 18 months which would be mid to late 2013 from the time it was announced.

got some snaps this morning at Bathurst and Lithgow, with a very friendly and cold guard to chat with. odd seeing a countrylink station master with a cityrail train and guard though. makes us wonder if it will remain that way... also noted, Countrylink services take 69 mins Bathurst to Lithgow, the Endeavour took 52...

Such a shame to think of sitting on these seats for 4 hours...

Told by three staff members over the last week "Thank God we don't work for SillyRail any more, we have new management".

One of them is a friend, the other two I have professional dealings with.

Yep, started from 1st August with the NSW trains area up the mountains now commencing from Emu Plains. Formerly the Customer Service Manager had responsibility down to Doonside but now only from Emu Plains. As of yet nothing to alert the public this has happened.

New station signage and colour scheme, and new uniforms in the offing, no doubt................... 8)

I'm perplexed as to why this couldn't go into the existing thread...

...oh, that's right, because it went way off topic with everyone hypothesising about how to make the network better! Lets hope this thread can actually stay the course...  Rolling Eyes

Does anybody know where they sourced the set?
Sounds like CityRail is going through another name change, is there a thread on the politics?

Great photos Very Happy Goulburn also has Countrylink station staff with Cityrail train crew. (For now anyway Smile ) I thought I heard somewhere that millions of $$ was going to be spent on the endeavour? Surely the seating will be changed before it goes into revenue service.

NSW Trains does not exist, and will not for some time. While some divisions are changing their structure and boundaries to align with the new organisations, the organisations themselves do not yet exist.

Are there any indicative timings for tomorrow's run, especially into Bathurst?

I'll second this - until the branding begins appearing on trains, stationary and signage, it's a fairly safe bet that some people are putting the cart before the horse.

In the meantime, what about Cityrail CCTV, Emergency Help Points, LLDVA etc. Does Bathurst or any of the other stops have these yet?

Bathurst IS a CITYRAIL station already, and always has been. people seem to forget this, and as such has CITYRAIL advertising, CITYRAIL timetables, CITYRAIL trackwork information, a CITYRAIL TVM

I was caught at Mount Victoria station around 2AM this morning because of the snow and surprisingly I happened to see the Endeavour pass through going westwards.

When is it likely to come in to affect? One would assume establishing legislation would need to pass Parliament, and then several months before the authority/corporation is operational?

I didn't realise CityRail trains already stopped there. It is certainly a CityRail location, but it is served by a CountryLink coach.

Read the question again - are CCTV, emergency help points, or a long-line public address system installed?

Another dumb question on this: do the $2.50 pensioner tickets cover the trip out to Bathurst? If so my parents will be making quite few trips out there!
