Trainorama models are very good. I have heaps of the older ones. Yes I have had to replace gears but what about some other model manufacturers. They have also had problems but nobody bashes them. Trainorama have now moved factories so they can get a more high class model out in the world. Thank Christ you have these models . 25 years ago nothing was around of Australian prototype. Trainorama and Austrains got the ball rolling

Since when is pointing out the truth about faults in models bashing a brand. Yes others have had faults and most of them have been pointed out on here or elsewhere so no one is really picking on any one brand but this happens to be a thread about about Bob's Models who happen to own Trainorama. If we bring in other brands we are going off topic though. Just pointing this out nothing more.

I'm guessing you haven't seen the huge number of posts giving the likes of Southern Rail Models, Eureka or Auscision a whack over various matters? Go have a read through their threads and then tell me that it's only Traino' who get 'bashed'.

I got the Radio Equipped pad print off with a Staedtler white block eraser. Shocked. Go figure, but I found a YouTube clip of some bloke using this on lego figurines.Found one in the stash, gave it a go gently and WTF it worked.

I just have a minuscule white spot I can't remove, and I kept checking the eraser as it was collecting an orange tinge. There's one spot where if I look hard enough you can just see a yellowish mark where I've been keen. The 2nd run S has a matt finish, the first run looks glossier, but where I was rubbing had no effect on the matt finish.

Anyway, I now have a V/LINE S306 without the Radio equipped print, as this loco never wore it. Must've been too hard to show the factory a photo of the real thing minus that detail so the model actually reflected this. So I've managed to correct it.

Figured I'd let people know what I used in case others have a similar requirement?

Lets not forget that production in China is basically at a standstill ATM owing to their annual shut down over the Lunar New Year which affects around 4 weeks production at most factories there.  There is always uncertainty as to how many of their workers will return from the break as well, meaning they have to try and get new ones and that means training them for basically fiddly work.

Although strangely no mention of price from the other place at 7 Hills.

i'm expecting the Ausc 44 to be price matched - maybe even below for a short while

Similar situation to the $220 48 class way back when

I have a feeling that the TOR 44 Class re-run will be long sold out before the Auscision 44's see the light of day if the length of time for delivery of the Auscision 442's is anything of a guide.

The Auscision 442's are here in OZ, with customs. Hopefully, availability and mailout through this coming week.
