Great news on this one, particularly the T.

Please not the same numbers on liveries from previous runs so I can buy some more. Hopefully quite a few numbers get offered on the 3rd series T. The portal window on the 645 engines from T399 onwards would be good even if that was done by a decal dot of sorts. H class with the aircon unit please??

Figured I'd ask..

Does SDS generally send out an order confirmation? I ordered some 81s a few weeks ago, but have not had a confirmation and my credit card has not been billed yet. I just wanted to check here first before I bug them about. I know they're not due out for a while, but just want to make sure I don't miss out.

This is how SDS does business. They don't acknowledge receipt of orders but then they usually don't debit credit cards until the goods are on their way. Which is great. But unfortunately it does leave you somewhat in the dark as to whether or not they even received your order. On a number of occasions over the years now I've ended up sending an email just to confirm they've received my order. They usually do reply.

Thanks Tony, I figured that was probably the case. I'll go ahead and contact them just to make sure.

The $275 is the pre-paid pre-delivery price. Full payment before delivery, otherwise $335 after delivery.

So charging your CC for the pre-delivery price is expected, but no indication of impending delivery.

As mentioned above, they only charge the credit cards when the models are on the way.

And I know what I've order and how much they've charged me.

My credit card was charged well over twelve months ago, which was about six months after I placed my order for four 81's so Í tend to agree with Pauls comment.

Fair enough; though my order was placed 3 years ago. Maybe it was just that far down the pile that it took that long to get to.

The American end platform cars are due to sail from Hong Kong early next week. Our contract assembly of the Eureka Models Private owner L coal hopper is progressing for Phoenix Reproductions and they expect some limited stock to arrive in time for the AMRA NSW model railway exhibition at the Whitlam Centre in late September. Decorated samples of the Candy 81s are due shortly and running samples sh...ould be here in about 4 weeks time, production will commence in October.
Following on from many requests we've asked for a tooling quotation to produce DUB Set 63. This will require two new bodyshells and a new roof with a high elliptical cross section. We anticipate a SRRP of $900.00 for 9 cars.
Set 63 was formed in 1971 with 5 cars from the original Set 63 and 4 cars from Set 69. From the mid 70s it regularly formed RTM tour trains in and around NSW. In 1989 it was transferred to the Rail Train Museum." - via https://www.facebook.com/SdsModels/

And the big news is the availability in early 2019 of the two indigenous-liveried NRs. I wonder if Auscision will be following suit with their NR project as "unannounced" models. No news on what these SDS versions will cost.
