I agree with your comment Michael. If the camera is any good the shutter speed will be variable. Looking back over the images is this only happening when the light is fading?
The camera has moved its position from the photos. It looks to be a little higher and pointed more to the right?

Fine tuning of the camera shutter speed is yet to be completed. The actual installation of the Camera and associated cabling has been completed. All fixed in place. Left to complete is the mounting of the comms cabinet, additional cabling to the rooftop selection of a "live" camera to look over the tracks to Sunshine.
The bad news is we are having radio issues out of the site. Signal loss and some issues with signal strength. I believe the link is viable to Mount Dandenong but I need to point the radio correctly and align the dish. That rooftop is quite high.
I expect we will complete this later this week. Sorry for the delays.
@Michelle12 and I are looking at a 4G backup to the Site for when the main radio backhaul is unavailable.

In terms of the camera positioning, we have mounted a little higher than was on test. The test rig was the camera on a tripod pointed to the location. The camera has been lifted up and is now pointing down toward the track and slightly to the right.
If we tilt the camera down more you will see more shrubs in the lower part of the frame and it will be tight at the top for SG movements. I have elected after working with David Baird and Michelle to leave the camera as it for a week or two with the option to move it slightly as required.

Advising Albion railcam is online as of this evening. We still expect a few small tuning issues which relate to the radio setup as there is still work to do however the images are flowing and there are plenty of them.
The feed is being monitored by Michael under guidance from @Michelle12 who leads the railcam group.
Report any issues back to this thread please.

The camera appears to be working well and taking some excellent shots. The photos appear a little more blurred since the change of angle. The shutter speed needs a tweak.

Michelle, myself and others in the railcam maintainers group have agreed to assist Michael where possible in updating Albion.
Michael is aware english skills are not his strong point but I want to acknowledge his courage and determination in wanting to not only improve his communication skills but also give something back in terms of time and effort on the project.

I do support Graham but I think we should be careful to not expect people who can hardly write to be expected to use send table case and the Queens English.

Exactly my point. Michael is not able to comply with all the sentence requirements. He will do what he can do and has the time and dedication to maintain Albion.
Users who do have the capacity to employ the "Queens English" (as was mentioned above by @freightgate ) should be doing just that.

Looking ok today although some of the freight trains are not being captured when they are appearing at the Bunbury Portal. I would move the camera a little to the left as it will provide a more face on image and make the numbers easier.
