If I read a post on the mobile website, it still shows as unread on the desktop version and vice versa.

EDIT: It appears my avatar is not showing anywhere except on the avatar edit page. I have tried re-uploading it and CTRL+F5 to no avail.
I have long since given up on my avatar being displayed.  It is well within the site criteria but persists in showing only about ¼ of the image.

And this post has been created using the "Reply" button to quote that above ;)

An old bug that has not been fixed in this release:

On the main forums page for the News Forum the latest post is not necessarily the latest post, currently it is the third latest post.

It's a side effect of deleted posts. We have a stored procedure to quickly fix it when we're made available.

I still regularly have my posts failing to be submitted, getting the message "No post mode specified".  Despite several attempts in querying this, I'm still waiting for a response.

I'm getting a separate TRN email for every new post in a thread I'm subscribed to, instead of the previous one TRN email until the next site visit.

I've had 27 TRN emails in 6 hours!!!!!!!!

An interesting issue.  when clicking from the front page to one of the many great images coming through from users the photo does not load at all on the first click.  The URL is displayed in the URL field of the browser but NO content.

When I reload the page it then loads correctly and very quickly.

https://www.railpage.com.au/image?provider=flickr&photo_id=20281622596  as an example.

It should be the same now across all devices you access Railpage from.

My "Your last visit was on" has not updated since Friday. I have logged in and out at least 4 times since then.

The bugs are fixed fast around here. New hardware seems to take a lot longer but we are glad it arrived.

There is a problem with the railcam summary screen.  The images are "divided" for some strange reason.

Ahhhhhright

New bug.

I clicked on the TRN link to come here : Click here to go straight to this post.

It brought me straight to the correct post.  For five seconds.  It then took me to the top of the page for five seconds.  It then took me to a point below the last post and I found myself looking at the reply window.  Which didn't adjust itself in five seconds and I stayed there until I took action myself using the Page Up keyboard button.

And on edit I note that the code is displaying for the blue URL and doesn't go away with a refresh.  Might only be visible to me.

It isn't. Possibly related to the fact that my "Last visit" time isn't updating as reported above.

I see nested quotes are back - however the names of the poster are lost except for the last quoted post. Makes it hard to determine who said what.

If we click on the ads does it help you guys pay for the site?  if so I will click away and encourage everyone on here to click once a day.

There is a bug with the autologin code, which I am working on. The long-implemented, but never used HTTP refresh is what is causing the UI bug you describe.

And on edit I note that the code is displaying for the blue URL and doesn't go away with a refresh.  Might only be visible to me.

With any copy+paste, please remember to click the "Remove formatting" button in the rich text editor's controls, or paste in plain text (CTRL+SHIFT+V in Chrome).

The two sections of code are unrelated Smile

Yes, and I don't plan on reverse-engineering the incredibly complicated RTE code to fix it either.

Yes. As per the "Sponsored Advertising" link that appears above the advertisement itself:

We use Google AdSense to recover some of the operational costs of running Railpage by placing ads throughout the website. Each time you click on one of these ads and view the website it takes you to, we get a small amount of money. You don't pay anything - the organisation that placed the ad pays.

Just uploaded a couple of pics to Photobucket and then composed a post in the NSW Narrandera to Tocumwal thread. I copied the "[img]...." link from photobucket and pasted it into my post but instead of the pics coming up, only the link is shown. Have photo posting procedures changed, or have I messed up somehow?Very Happy

That's a bizzare one, I'll look into it.

Please remember in future to provide a link to the affected post Smile
