I see nested quotes are back - however the names of the poster are lost except for the last quoted post. Makes it hard to determine who said what.

Yes, and I don't plan on reverse-engineering the incredibly complicated RTE code to fix it either.

So why bring back nested quotes?

It isn't. Possibly related to the fact that my "Last visit" time isn't updating as reported above.

The two sections of code are unrelated Smile

That's interesting, because even if I mark all Forums read before I log out, when I log back in all posts since my erroneous last visit time seem to be "unread" again except for threads I have posted in since that time. It is almost like I was never here...

Edit: Added additional information.

There is a bug regarding marking forums as read. The read state of threads is what I was referring to, and as I said should be persisting across devices now.

Interesting bug in Chrome Windows 7 desktop. Sometimes when I click on a link it downloads the htm file (see attached zip). Click a second time and the page opens. Cant pick a pattern...

That sounds like an issue with your computer/the hosting website. Using your example above, it's not code that we control and the format in which your browser downloads an external file cannot be controlled by our code Smile

Fair enough. Work runs all external links through Mcafee so I'll blame that Smile

Even threads that I had previously actually read were unread again on the same PC and seems to be threads since the last visited date.

Could you provide some examples? Eg, does this thread remain unread across your other devices?

All threads in the News forum that have posts since 07/08/2015 were remaining unread or returned to unread. Some I had read some I hadn't. Earlier today I clicked "Mark All Threads Read" in this forum, currently they have stayed as read.

As I said before, there's is a bug regarding marking forums as read. The "Mark all threads read" button marks the forum as read, not each individual thread.

There is sometimes an extended delay on updating the page. The page waits on http://api.railpage.com.au

This is not regular but at times during the day.  Thought I would mention it.

Click here to go straight to this post.

This link has now reverted to going only to the first post on the page and does not go to the correct post.  But it also does't jump about any more.

What happens if you click on the link again, once you've logged in? Smile I bet it goes straight there...

You bet correctly.  The bug is still with the auto-login.

What's with the new "view your posts" layout? It doesn't say whether or not there are any unread posts any more.

You sure?

I have been having trouble logging in over the last couple of days.

The home page displays fine if I'm not logged in, but once I log in, I get an infinite redirect loop (Keeps redirecting until the browser gives up).

If I don't log in there is no problem.

The times that this have happened have all been late afternoon.
Trying again later at night (and from a different location) it seems to work fine...

I think so, but I didn't really check. I have deleted them now.

s3_gunzel, for me it just shows a list of threads I have contributed to

Clearing cookies causes the site to display fine, but not logged in.
Attempting to log in again causes the redirect loop.

The problem also occurs when using a different browser or a different computer.

Moving to a location with a different internet connection causes the problem to go away (all of the times when the problem has occurred have been accessed through the same connection).

Not logging in also allows the site to load correctly, the problem only occurs when logging in...

Not sure if this is relevant or not, but the last visit time isn't updating either, even when I can log in.

Intriguing. The last visited timestamp isn't all that important anymore Smile

Can you send me the IP address you try to connect from, that exhibits the redirect loop? Jump over to Google and search for "what is my ip address".

I am having trouble authenticating with Railpage using facebook.  Appears to auth but then says I am not.  Just happening tonight. Any recent changes today?
