NO Quoting of the whole post please

Links are not working.

And I thought it was meant to be a passenger train that's due at Broadmeadow at around 3:25pm or so, and Maitland around the 4pm mark.

How did you know what time it would pass Warabrook when their are no times available?, and TAA states it was meant to pass not until 3pm or so.

Side note; What is the purpose of the tank wagon that seems to follow 6029 around? I would assume it's for additional water capacity?

Its been a very long time since I have sat at the top of Fassifern bank enjoying the sound of the bell birds and waiting for a Garratt.
Enjoy,

"meh"
The wagon is known as a water gin. In the halcyon days of steam, a loco could pull up beside a 200 or 250 mm standpipe, and take on about 20,000 litres of water in 5 or 6 minutes. Nowadays, just about all these facilities have gone. It is very time consuming to take water via a fire hose or similar, and the best idea is to take your own water with you. The gin has a hose connection to the tender tank.  When the train gets to its destination, it can take water into the tender and gin without being in a rush.
You'll see this as a quite common thing now.
