Welcome to Trump town

I agree with Billy. Looking at Trump, you would never know he recently had Covid. He's a picture of health, back to his orange self.

Biden on the other hand looks tired.

Makes one wonder whether he actually had it, or if it was just a stunt.

Biden on the other hand couldn't even remember Trump's name the other day. Some media outlets have tried to defend him by suggesting that he was replying directly to the interviewer who also happened to be named George, but I have my doubts.

No doubt there are some worthy Americans but on the whole they deserve both candidates IMHO.

I am pretty sure that Donald did indeed have COVID, but that’s okay because George is still perfectly fine to contest the election.

It wouldn't matter. Anyone who called it as a stunt would just be dismissed as incompetent, a liar, or a spreader of fake news. Old Donny knows how it's done.

Of course he knows how to massage an adverse event to make the most of it - he didn't have a top rating TV show for ten years without knowing how the media cycle works.

7 of my team in UAE got it, most didn't have a symptom, just picked up in random screening which we have to do every two weeks or contact tracing. The guys who had symptoms only light fever for a few days.

Work wise we have had over 1000 infected, one death and a few in ICU. The poor guy who died was 6mth from retiring age 60. In general to work in aluminium smelting production and pass the medical you have to be reasonably healthy and have few medical issues and no lung issues like asthma although corporate roles have less scrutiny.

Trump was infected recently and detected very early through known contact tracing and the treatment process is far more advanced than in March/April when Boris Johnston got it and by all accounts it was touch and go for a day or so if he would make it and Trump would have likely had the best medical support money could buy and some more you cannot.  There was probably a team of doctors with specialities in every field looking at his results, meeting every 30min to discuss his progress and the next step by mutual agreement. His health and any underlying conditions likely well documented so no surprises.

Despite his age, weight and likely fitness or lack of it not being ideal to fight off the virus, it doesn't surprise me it did so well, it would have surprised me if he didnt.

Correct statement.

The Apprentice was fairly good in its first year when Mark Burnett was the producer, but quickly started going downhill once Trump took over as the producer and such a drag on NBC's prime time lineup that it was shifted to 10pm on Sunday nights.

He did say he would run the show like he ran his businesses, so people should have seen the slide coming.

Biden was VP under Obama, any skeleton's have been purged and the later is hardly true.

He's only a 3 years ahead of Trump by age so the two are in the same boat.  Having said that I do not expect him to commit to a 2nd term, but who knows.  Anyway, trump is a dead man walking, time to accept the outcome.

There have been several fishy aspects to the accusations, however. For one, incriminating information supposedly located on a Hunter Biden laptop left in a Delaware computer shop had in fact been circulating in Ukraine well before it was reportedly turned over to Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer. Over the weekend, Time reported that the Hunter Biden emails and photos were being shopped in Kiev last fall by somebody who “wanted to sell it to Republican allies of President Trump.” Several days later, Politico reported the “Hunter Biden laptop” material was being shopped around by a “Ukrainian oligarch looking for help with a potential legal jam” as early as spring of 2019.

Another oddity in the timing, as Andrew Prokop noticed, is that the star witness for Fox News and Trump, Tony Bobulinski, claimed he only came forward because he was outraged at the response to the New York Post story first reporting the email hacks. But Ben Smith reported in the New York Times that Bobulinski was working with Trump’s campaign to pitch the story to the Wall Street Journal, before they settled for giving it to the New York Post.

(The Journal duly reported that they had no evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden.)

So he has dementia and he's corrupt? Having seen both over my time, I cannot see how the two can occur at the same time in the same person? So I'm assuming its just one of your usual rants as you did imply he was corrupt but now backflipping and saying you were not.

No Don, just reading the evidence available and that I can be bothered to look into including the more detailed analysis in the states that saw him win last time.

My prediction (probably wrong one) is that Trump will be dumped as the minority groups are voting in droves, 100m pre-poll votes are expected. It does appear he has regained some support in the last week or so. I'm sure many Republican leaning but don't or rarely vote may also be out to keep their hero knowing that the other side is likely to win. Trump is one of the most divisive Presidents so its likely both sides are out to have their say in droves.

If you look at the 2 term President polling over last 40 years, Trump has never exceeded any of them, but he exceeds most, but not all of the single term ones that were voted out.

LOL, so you can't possibly be corrupt AND have dementia at the same time - the two are definitely mutually exclusive?

This is just like your baseless assertion that the demise of unions and the advance of technology have rendered inflation impossible in the twenty first century. Completely free of any evidence to support it yet you still repeat it ad nausea.

Wooo Don, we are talking Joe Biden and your claims that he has both dementia and is corrupt. Having seen my grandfather with dementia, I'm fairly certain someone with this condition is no longer capable of being corrupt.

Then you harp on about unions, technology, inflation what ever. Don, please can you stay on track for 2 posts in a row before drifting off into the nether nether irrelevance.

Nah, I'm attempting to remind you about how you don't argue things properly with references to your failed argument on inflation but obviously it's too embarrassing for you to remember.

Chew over this one: Is it possible - the tiniest bit possible - that Joe Biden could have been an enabler of corruption BEFORE he became demented? And that now he's just a corrupt politician who also happens to think he's running for the Presidency against George Bush?

Have a think about it for a while. I know how thinking logically can be a real challenge for you so I'll give you some time to ponder it.

He's saying that his prediction is not a prediction because it's fact - therefore it isn't a prediction.

This is pretty much the definition of playing around with sematics... it's not 'bitching', its an observation that he's trying to redefine what he meant to say it was something else.

You people need lessons in how to argue properly. Hate me, by all means, but learn to properly construct an argument against what I'm saying rather than just 'bitching' about me.
