Frankston line was also suspended yesterday evening due to overhead wire woes near Edithvale.

Another thing I noticed was how many mudholes have formed between Camberwell and Box Hill of late.

Although metro appear to be slowly re-sleepering the curve at Rushall (there were still new sleepers sitting beside the track two weeks ago), the track on the bridge is now getting quite bad. The train drivers are taking it real slow and the train is still tilting side to side. The sleepers on the bridge don't look so good either. Wonder if they'll fix it before something derails there...

What was the cause of the fault?  Given that Nunawading station is relatively new, was the overhead installed to a satisfactory standard, or on the cheap?
